Hey sweethearts,

I'm sure you've seen tie dye treats around the web before, but here is my own mini version that I whipped up with Betty Crocker white cake mix, and topped off with my very own Easter sprinkle mixture. If you haven't tried to make before, I can assure it it's quite simple, and totally worth the extra effort of colouring individual batches of cake batter.

What I used:

• Betty Crocker white cake mix

• Betty Crocker whipped icing

• Wilton Icing Colours

• Cheap Zipper Baggies

• Sprinkles

• Mini cupcakes liners

• Mini cupcake pan

How I did it:

1. Follow the cake mix directions (mixing all in 1 bowl).

2. Then separate the mix into bowls (number of bowls depends on the number of colours you will use). I used 5.

3. Add desired amount of food colouring to each bowl (adding enough to get your ideal shade).

4. If you don't have special piping bags, you can simply use zipper baggies by pouring the batter into zipper baggies, and then cutting the corner of the bag. Start with a smaller cut, and adjust if needed.

5. Now the extra fun part! Once you've separated your coloured batter into baggies, you squeeze the baggies into your lined cupcake pans. There are no rules for the part, be as creative as you like. You can either do layers, or patches, or whatever.

5. Then, back to the package instructions.

6. When baking is done, let cool, and then decorate!
